오늘 살펴볼 논문은 "Post-finasteride syndrome: An emerging clinical problem"로 2020년 5월에 나온 논문입니다.

양성 전립선 비대증 및 남성형 탈모증 치료를 위해서 피나스테리드 및 두타스테리드 약을 많이 사용합니다.

피나스테리드는 미국 식약청이 승인한 단 두 가지 탈모약 중 하나로, 프로스카/프로페시아 등의 제품명으로 판매되는 약입니다.

전립선 비대증이나 남성형 탈모를 치료하기 위해 주로 사용되는 약물입니다.

피나스테라이드는 여성의 조모증이나 트랜스 여성의 호르몬 치료를 위해서 사용되기도 합니다.

두타스테리드는 아보다트라는 브랜드로 판매되고 전립선 비대증을 치료하기 위해서 사용됩니다.

또한 남성의 두피 탈모와 트랜스젠더 여성의 호르몬 치료를 위해서 사용됩니다.

두타스테리드 계열의 경구 탈모 약도 의학적 효과가 있기 때문에 한국의 식품 의약품 안전처의 승인은 받았지만, 탈모 목적으로는 미국 FDA 승인은 이루어지지 않았다고 합니다.

미녹시딜과 다르게 피나스테리드와 두나스테리드 모두 새로운 모발을 만드는 것이 아니라 탈모가 일어나는 것을 방지하는 약입니다.

Finasteride is one of only two hair loss drugs approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and is sold under the names of Prosca/Propecia and other products.

A drug used mainly to treat prostate hypertrophy or male hair loss.

Finasteride can also be used for women's alopecia and for hormone therapy in trans women.

Dutasteride is sold under the brand Avodat and is used to treat prostate hypertrophy.

It is also used for hormone therapy for men's scalp hair loss and transgender women.

The Dutasteride family's oral hair loss drug also has a medical effect, so it was approved by the Korea Food and Drug Safety Administration, but it was not approved by the U.S. FDA for hair loss purposes.

Unlike Minoxidil, both Finasteride and Dutasteride are drugs that prevent hair loss, not new hair.

이 논문은 위의 두 약의 부작용에 대해서 언급하고 있습니다.

이 약물들은 일반적으로 치료 중 많은 보고서에 따르면 성기능 장애 및 기분 변화와 같은 남성의 부작용에 대해서 설명하고 있습니다.

PFS(post-finasteride syndrome)라 불리는 이 상태는 성적인 부작용이 존재합니다.

PFS는 성욕 부진, 발기 부전, 오르가즘 달성 힘듦, 우울증, 불안 등등 여러 부작용으로 존재합니다.

위 부작용 중 일부는 여성에게도 보이고 있습니다.

최근에 나타난 연구 결과는 약을 끊은 후에도 부작용의 지속이 나타날 수 있다는 점입니다.

피나스테라이드 및 두타스테라이드 약을 끊은 후에도 우울증 및 불안과 같은 부작용과 성적 기능에 대한 부작용이 계속될 수 있음을 동물 실험을 통해서 본 논문에서는 보이고 있습니다.

다른 방법을 통해서라도 부작용을 완화하는 방법이 필요하다고 말하고 있습니다.

These drugs generally describe male side effects such as sexual dysfunction and mood change, according to many reports during treatment.

This condition, called post-finaesteride syndrome (PFS), has a sexual side effect.

PFS has many side effects such as poor sexual desire, poor erection, difficulty in achieving orgasm, depression, anxiety, etc.

Some of the above side effects are also seen in women.

Recent findings suggest that side effects may persist even after you quit the drug.

Animal experiments show that side effects such as depression and anxiety and side effects on sexual functions can continue even after the phynasteride and dutastered drug is stopped.

They say we need a way to mitigate side effects through other means.
